2008-10-11 Calgary Xr4ti New Head Gasket
My good old xr4ti has been running very rough. A compression test showed very low in cylinders #1 and #2. When compression is equally as low between cylinders beside each other, that usually means head gasket.
So I popped off the head and sure enough, there was a pretty big peice of the gasket missing between #1 and #2.
Also, that gasket was in really rough shape.. Check the pics, it was a mess!
Took an hour to remove the parts of the old gasket that were baked onto the cylinder head. Yuck.
I also replaced the head bolts with ARP Studs... That should hold
